Lime Crime Venus Pallete Review

Hey guys! Heres a quick review from my phone! The Lime Crime Venus pallete.
I was given this pallete as a gift for Christmas so I thought I should review it.
I did the entire eyeshadow look above using this pallete, not including the liner.

This is my first time trying any Lime Crime eye shadow. I have tried their liquid and unicorn lipsticks before. If you'd like a review please let me know.

I genuinely enjoyed this pallete. Upon first glance, I didn't know if these colours were going to work together well. They all seemed kind of similar, but when applied they looked awesome together.  I loved that the "smoke out" colour is a dark brown, rather than the typical black you get in most palletes. It made the eye look have a deeper, earthy look.

Product price: $34.00 USD

The verdict:

Packaging is gorgeous as always with Lime Crime products.

Shadows are smooth, pigmented, and blendable

$34.00 is a decent deal for 8 full sized eyeshadows. I'd like to see the price hover more around $25.00- 29.00, but  its a wonderfully unique pallete and I love it!

Please share your thoughts/ opinions in the comment section below!

The Green Beaver Company: Cilantro Mint Toothpaste

Hey guys! long time no post!
I have been up in Canada, working on my degree, I have neglected my blog, but Im back and reviewing this awesome product from a Canadian company called "The Green Beaver".

This company has some pretty neat products. What I have here is their "cilantro mint" toothpaste and I have to say I liked it!

I used it last night , and this morning and it's really herby and fresh!
When I woke up, my teeth were still smooth and free of plaque.

You can definitely taste the cilantro ha!
Im a cilantro lover, so this is awesome for me. The price for this toothpaste retails for around $4.99CAD.

It's free of fluoride, which is a big deal for me.

I have used this companies lavender deoderant before and I'm pretty impressed.
These toothpastes come in other flavors as well.

If you have the chance I suggest picking some up!

Have an awesome day!

Special FX face paint Skull

Inspiration photo I found on google. (LEFT)  My work on model (RIGHT)
                                                               Model: B.a.c.x

Hey people! Long time no post eh ?! Well I have been away for the last year or so in school learning makeup! I became a licensed esthetician and I am currently obtaining all my pro cards and pursuing even more makeup courses! I am also in the process of moving, so life has been cray.

I found the imagine on the left via google.com and I decided to try and recreate it on my model.
I don't HATE the final look. I definitely have room for improvement.

I couldn't find my mehron black cake, so I had to use a liquid eyeliner on my models face lol
I did this is about 30 minutes, and I was seriously lacking in makeup here while visiting Canada because my professional kit is down in Florida. Anyway! I hope whoever checks out my blog enjoys this look!

Have a radical day people of the internet! Until next time!

Hayley Williams "Sounds like noise" MAC Lipstick

MAC
 LIMITED EDITION
Hayley Williams Matte Lipstick in
"Sounds Like Noise"

(This is a swatch I took outside on my arm , this lipstick can look different in certain lighting.)
(Sorry for any dryness of my lips.)
As you can see on my lips this color is not as
"in your face" orange as it was on my forearm. My lips naturally are a darker color, so this lipstick takes on more of a peach tone. I'm sure if I played with a lip primer I could get it to look more orange.

This lipstick is very build-able, and can be worn lighter for day, and you can do a few layers for night.

I'm pleased with the matte finish. It's VERY moisturizing for being a matte.

I always have to state in my MAC lipstick reviews that the scent of their lipsticks are amazing!
It smells like yummy vanilla frosting.

This lipstick is still available on the mac website.
I got mine for $16.07 USD After tax ;)

I'd say its worth it, and if you're a Paramore fan (like me) this lipstick is a must have. ^_^

MAC RIRI WOO Retro Matte Lipstick

Please click on any of the photos in the post to enlarge to show detail.

This is one swipe of RiRi Woo Lipstick. Its VERY pigmented.

This is my arm after I removed the swatch.
I tried water and then soap. It was VERY hard to remove off my bare skin.
You have to be VERY careful to not go outside the lines of your lips with this lipstick.
I got some on the outside of my lips and it looked like I had a kool-aid mustache!
I had to correct the outline with concealer. I cannot stress how very pigmented this lipstick is!

This is Rihanna's limited edition signature red lipstick which is supposedly a little different than Ruby Woo from MAC's permanent line.
This particular red is also supposed to work on ANY skin tone.
I would have to agree with this claim. I have looked at a lot of girls photos on instagram. Every girl I saw with this color on looked amazing! You can see from my photo above it actually works on my skin tone as well, and I'm not usually a fan of reds on myself.

My guy surprised me with this little gem. I had no earthly idea I was going to own this!
This lipstick sold out in 2 hours I believe. It is an online only item.
Pro discount does not work on this lipstick.
For those of you who really want this color, it will be available again in June.
The price is $15.00

PROS:
This lipstick is INSANE pigmented.
A little goes a long way.
MAC Lipstick's smell amazing like vanilla frosting.
Matte red for a vintage look.
Long lasting.
Creamy.
Moisturizing even though its a matte.
Works on any skin tone.

CONS:
The staining.
Dear lord the staining lol.
Its limited edition.
Online only item, Much harder to get your hands on.

Benefit Hervana face powder

I apologize in advance for not showing this swatched ON my face, but it's late and I'm having one of those. "I hate my face" days.

Lets talk about this benefit HERVANA face powder/blush, shall we?

I picked this up last week, I have heard great things about benefit and their face products.
I have been a long time user of their Erase Paste concealer, so I thought I give their face products a chance. From everything I read, this powder has been described as "working on every skin tone".
I normally shy away from pinks for my skin as they just seem to clash horribly.
I'm generally darker blush kind of gal. I LOVE dark plums/mauve's for my blushes.
(What can I say? I'm forever stuck in the 90's.)

This powder includes four colors in a sort of kaleidoscopic pattern.
It's total eye candy. The first thing I noticed about this when I opened it, was IT'S SCENTED!
It smells fantastical!; like unicorns and rainbows should come flying out of this tiny box!
I've never had a scented blusher besides the Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer.
I can't quite place the scent, I just know I love it!

I noticed after swatching the powder with my fingers, that it felt really silky!
I absolutely love the texture. The smoother the powder, the smoother your skin will look.
I did in fact try this on my face. However, my HD camera was not being kind today to my blemished skin. I really love the way it felt. It's not heavy, it gives such a nice glow, and does its job without making me feel like a clown.

In the swatch photos above I rubbed one of each shade on my fingers.
In the last photo, I blended them all together. When blended, they make this really pretty shade. I think this color is totally versatile for different skin tones.

While fair tone chicas could use this as a blush, Medium - Dark tone chicas could use this as a highlighter.

All in all I'm quite impressed with this product from benefit and it makes me want to try the many other shades they have out. The only thing that bugs me about this product is the price.
This product retails for $28.00 on Sephora.com and that just seems like a TON of $ for such a small product. I got mine on sale from QVC.com in a kit. I feel like I could get a better blusher from MAC that may last me longer.

Also, included is a travel size angle brush. It seems to be made of natural fiber.
(I assume goat hair.) Its VERY soft, and applies the color well.

THE VERDICT:

I really love the quality/ packaging/ texture/ and color payoff
THE SMELL IS AMAZING!
You get an adorable angle brush included. (Super soft!)
I'm not sold on the high price point. I'd like to see these sold in the $18-$22 range. That would be better on my wallet.
If you have $28 to spend, I'd definitely check these out.

Thanks for making it through the post ladies and gents!

Manic Panic AMPLIFIED Semi-Permanent Hair color in "Vampire Red"

(This is me making a silly face obviously, but I decided to stand next to a window to show the actual intense color the red came out.)

Todays review is on Manic Panic AMPLIFIED Semi-Permanent Hair Color in "Vampire Red".
This is my first time using this kind of manic panic. Normally I use the regular Manic Panic in the little tub with the screw off lid, but I saw this one at Hot Topic and everything was BoGo 50%.
I decided to try it out. I am absolutely thrilled with the color payoff.
If any of you have followed my blogs over the years, you know I am no stranger to bright hair color.
I have dyed my hair every color you could imagine.

I have used my fair share of semi-permanent hair colors, and this one takes the cake!
This dye is on point.
After I did my hair foils aka bleaching.
I shampooed and blow dried my lightened hair sections I wanted to be red.
I applied the dye and worked it into a "foamy lather" as the bottle suggests.
To my surprise, as I was in the process of pouring more dye in my hair I read the bottle a bit more and nowhere on the bottle did it suggest a "processing time".
I was shocked! "Oh wait, you mean I don't have to put a shower cap on and heat this stuff in for 20 minutes under the hair dryer?!?!!?"
Oh my! I was thrilled! I pinned my hair up and I did some math homework...
I lost track of time, an hour later I washed it all out with my regular shampoo, and did a deep conditioning treatment.

When I let my hair down out of the towel , I was super excited that the dye actually stuck to my hair!
I have had SO many bad experiences with what are supposed to be amazing bright color dyes, and after I shampoo my hair, ALL the color washes out to some faded version of what it was supposed to be. This dye did not fade. I have since washed my hair twice with cheap shampoo (I'm out of my color safe kind.) This color is still just as bright as the first day! Its very concentrated and I only used about 1/3 of the bottle to cover SIX foils in my hair.

CONCLUSION:
I HIGHLY recommend this dye to anyone looking to get bold color!

You can snag this dye at your local HotTopic store for around $12.99.

I am not doing pros/ cons on this post because I have no cons. The entire post was a pro. lol ;)

I hope you guys do some funky stuff to your hair!
